Haven't posted in a week due to very limited internet access. Arrived in Dallas with the trailer in tow; stopped off in Coleman Texas and with help from David Sifford unloaded half of the 'stuff' there. Then stayed overnight and drove into Dallas and put the remainders into storage here.
David is a blessing to all who come in contact with him. Thanks David!
For the past few days I've been helping my wife set up her 5th wheel, unpack boxes, fix up the air conditioners, etc. Then on August 31 its back to Tucson to get my 5th wheel, get it fixed up and return to Coleman. Yea! Then the great move of 2008 will be done.
Why did I ever leave Texas? The answer is... can you hear the drum roll?... MONEY! GREED! Yes! Ah the stupidity of it all. I was offered more than double my salary to take a contract in Arizona, how could my worldly self refuse that? Well the contract didn't last that long and the money didn't either. I won't continue in this vein, but to say I'm glad the Arizona story will soon be over.
Thank you God for your mercy and grace and forgiveness.

Too many cars, Too much stuff
OK! I've rented a small U-Hall trailer. The current plan is to pack up our storage unit here in Tucson and use the Expedition to pull it to Texas, putting part of "stuff" in Coleman and the rest in Dallas. Then fly (yes, FLY! Yuck!) back to Tucson get my 5th wheel and pull it to Texas. This should complete the move of 4 cars and 2 5th wheel trailers from Arizona to Texas. Too many cars, too much stuff - will be paring down as soon as I land.
Today I got the U-Hall 80% packed, should finish tomorrow - day 6 aka Friday. Man it is HOT working outside here - 100+++. Drinking lots of water, potassium & magnesiam. God willing, after Shabath, I should be heading out to Texas, and ariving day 2 - aka Monday.
My wish list is to get an inexpensive digital camera, If I'm able to save up the money then I'll post more pictures.
Till then, God Bless!!!!

Back in Tucson
The current news is that we made it to Dallas, got the trailer roof rips and damage fixed, trailer set up and re-built the set of stairs that make it easier to enter the trailer. Well, so now it was to get back to Tucson to pick up my 5th wheel. The drive back not pulling anything went quickly and now the job is to get my trailer roof fixed up for travel. So, tomorrow the work begins. It will probably be a week before I'll be ready to leave.
More later...

On Our Way Part 2 - Trials and Blessings
Trials and Blessings
Trial: Thursday we were on our way to Abilene when a father and son pulled beside me and gesticulated at me that there was a problem. Pulling off at the next exit they told me my outside road side rear tire was starting to shred - the truck is a dually 3500 diesel. Yikes!!!! This brought our train to a sudden halt. We called AAA and almost 2 hours later a fellow with a huge tow truck showed up, had me move the trailer to a open truck parking space and in 30 minutes had us back on the road. Great service, even with the wait.
Blessing: It was wonderful of the young man and his dad to warn me, without that the side of my truck would of been damaged and to have a competent repair guy get us going again.
Trial: Since we were not going to make Abilene, we stopped at the next RV park and smart me parked the 5th wheel under a beautiful grove of trees. After dinner and a nights rest in the morning we were once again ready to pull out. I'm not sure where my mind went or if a spirit of stupidity overcame me, but I started the truck and pulled the trailer out of the spot and ripped part of the rubber roof off the trailer along with a vent cover and the A/C cover. I was not thinking or using my head! One of the rules of pulling a trailer is the last thing you do is walk around your vehicle and trailer checking for anything that might need addressing. Well not this time! I should of called my Chicano friend in Tucson - just call me "el stupido". I heard branches breaking, but that was all. I got out and looked and saw parts of the roof flapping in the breeze and a large branch resting on the roof. AGG!
Blessing: It had to be fixed right away and the branch removed; there was no shade and the temp was approaching 100... What to do? We drove up to the nearby truck stop to mabe find some shade, but to no avail. Then my wife disappeared with her car, but soon called me and told me she was across the street at a semi-truck oil change business and that the owner said we could use one of his bays to fix the trailer up. So accross the street I went and into an open bay. It after 11:00am and they had not had any business so the worker guys welcomed the chance to do something rather than lay around. We had the roof 'duck taped' down and the 6 foot tree branch removed in 20 minutes. What a blessing!
From there we drove into Dallas, set up the trailer, went to Souper Salad, bath and bed. Wow, what a trip.
God has through his providence, mercy and grace truly blessed us.
May all honor and glory be to Him, amen.

The Train Pulls out of Kankakee Soon DV
Another Adventure BeginsThe 5th wheel is in the shop getting the bearings packed, new tires, the water tank flushed, and a step repaired. Everything in the trailer is secured, ready for a 1000 mile trip. The current plan is to leave Tuesday morning for Texas God willing. If all goes without interruption we should be in Dallas by Friday, 8-8-08.
My knee is 90% recovered; only hurts a little when going down stairs. Wife is fine and we're both looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.
Nothing more to report for now. Have a wonderful Shabbot.

Still in Tucson.
When you forgo being goal directed and focus on the process and let God direct your steps, you never know how long something is going to take. Thus we're still here in Tucson getting ready to move my wife to Dallas. Presently the 5th wheel is ready to be moved, but our mechanic can't get the bearings packed, tires changed and hot water heater flushed until Monday. So, it looks like we'll be having a relaxing weekend in the cheepie motel ( actually really nice ) - cool, with a good bed.
Im looking forward to a restful Shabot and leaving for Dallas Tuesday next, DV - God willing.
It is so less streeful living without "Deadlines", where you are not dead on that unseen line. The other issue is the clear knowledge of walking in God's will.
In His mercy, peace and grace.
